Did you know that 75% of U.S. food service workers earn no paid sick time? Did you know that 40% of workers contract the flu from their colleagues at work? Or that half of all stomach flu infections come from sick food service workers? We would like to thank Philadelphia NOW, a member of the Coalition for Healthy Families and Workplaces, for highlighting this important issue.
These are just a few of the many compelling reason we need to support legislation that would reduce these numbers and protect workers, families, and the general public.
