Take Action!

There are a number of ways Coalition for Healthy Families and Workplaces members can be involved in helping all workers access earned sick days. Below are some specific examples of ways to be involved. Please feel free to let us know what you would be interested in helping with any of the following or have other ways you would like to be involved.

  • Attend Coalition meetings
  • Contact City Councilmembers
  • Attend meetings with members of City Council
  • Testify at public hearings
  • Attend Thursday Council Sessions to comment on the bill
  • Submit written testimony at public hearings
  • Participate in a rally or other media event
  • Write a letter to the editor or an op-ed
  • Write an article for your organization’s newsletter
  • Commit to bringing members to Coalition events
  • Speak at Coalition events
  • Sponsor an event for your members/activists
  • Engage your board members
  • Send action alerts to E-Newsletter lists
  • Promote the issue at events
  • Help identify workers and businesses willing to share their story
  • Collect Coalition post cards
  • Assist with educating the public about the importance of this issue
